About
I help founders and product teams turn fuzzy ambitions into clear, buildable products. Strategy first, then the details that make people trust what you've made.

Small, senior engagements. You work with me directly from the first call to the last file.
Start a projectWorkshops, research and a one-page plan that says what to build first and why.
End-to-end flows and polished interfaces, tested with real people before a line of code.
Tokens, components and docs your team will actually use, built alongside your engineers.

A few hours a month of design leadership for teams without a head of design.
Kind words
Juno found the one sentence our whole roadmap hangs on. Everything after that was easier.

Rhea CastellFounder, Fieldnote
The calmest launch we've ever had. The system meant engineering stopped guessing.

Tomas AchterbergCTO, Ledgerline
Clear thinking, beautiful work and no theatre. We'd hire Juno again tomorrow.

Three weeks of strategy saved us six months of building the wrong thing.

FAQ
Early and growth-stage digital products: apps, platforms, design systems and the websites that sell them.
Strategy sprints run two to three weeks. Product design engagements usually run eight to twelve.
Most of the time. I slot in beside your product and engineering leads and leave the work in your tools.
Fixed-price per phase, agreed before we start. Ask for the rate card and I'll send it the same day.
I take on two projects at a time. The current start date is shown at the top of the page.

Product strategy
A note-taking app for field researchers needed one clear reason to exist. Three weeks of interviews found it.

Fieldnote had a capable prototype and a long list of features nobody could rank. We spent the first week with eleven researchers in the field, watching how notes actually got made: on knees, in the rain, one-handed.
The pattern was simple. People didn’t need richer notes; they needed to find the one note that mattered, months later. That became the sentence the roadmap hangs on, and it cut the backlog by half.
I left the team with a one-page strategy, a ranked roadmap and three tested concepts for search that their engineers shipped the following quarter.
Mobile app
A calmer way to split shared bills, designed for people who hate talking about money.

Halden’s first app worked, but every screen asked for a decision. We rebuilt the core flow around one idea: the app should settle up for you, quietly, unless you ask.
I designed the new flows and interface, ran four rounds of unmoderated tests and paired with the iOS lead on motion and haptics so confirmations feel certain without being loud.
The result is fewer screens, fewer taps and a tone of voice that never makes anyone feel like the one who owes.
Brand & packaging
A homeware brand that needed to look as considered as the things it sells.

Orra makes a small range of ceramics and textiles. The products were beautiful; the boxes, labels and website said “marketplace seller”.
We built a quiet system around three colours, one typeface and a box family that stacks into a display. Every piece of packaging is unprinted on the outside except a single debossed mark.
The new identity rolled out across packaging, the web shop and two pop-up stores in one season.
Design system
A design system for an accounting platform with five product teams and no shared components.

Ledgerline’s product had grown five slightly different versions of every button. Engineers rebuilt the same table each sprint.
Working alongside two front-end engineers, I audited the product, defined tokens for colour, type and spacing, and built the forty components that cover ninety percent of screens, with documentation written for the people who actually use it.
The system now ships with every new feature, and the team runs it without me.
